A Journey to the Center
All transformation starts from within. The labyrinth path is the perfect place to begin this work of transformation and regeneration from the inside out. Walking the labyrinth path is a powerful way to strengthen your Intuition by taking time to listen to and respecting your deep inner Wisdom in the process.
Labyrinths are a form of sacred geometry that have been around for thousands of years. A labyrinth has one path that leads in toward a center and back out again. Walking the path is a form of mindful meditation that leads you closer to your personal center, the core of who you are. Transformation on the Path How can walking labyrinths lead to personal transformation? Labyrinths have been used for many purposes over thousands of years. These include: purification, protection, rites of initiation, pilgrimage, and ceremonies of commitment. In modern times we can walk the path to set specific committed intentions for ourselves and our life paths, which we can "update" at any time. There are three stages to a labyrinth walk: Release, Receive & Return. Through my Life Story Transformation coaching, you will use those three stages to release old patterns of thought, begin crafting a new life story for yourself, set intentions for positive action, receive the innate Wisdom of your own intuition, and celebrate the progress you make along the way (as you return) on and off the path. Labyrinth-Making Workshops
Karen also leads workshops for groups around creating original tabletop labyrinths to use as meditation tools. The image to the left features all of the unique tabletop labyrinths created at the workshop Karen offered at her UU church in Hudson, MA (April 2016). The design is the simplest pattern in the classical Greek style. It is called a three-circuit labyrinth because the path turns around the center three times before bringing the walker into the center space. This workshop included a walk on a temporary labyrinth built by Karen in the church's courtyard. She used her own seashore-themed handheld labyrinth path as the model for the project. Roll up your sleeves and let your fingers do the walking! Use the Contact page to plan a group workshop for creating your own labyrinth meditation tool with Karen.
